New CS2 patch: you can now see grenade crosshairs during freeze time

Valve keeps polishing the crosshair system it introduced just over a week ago. The update on the night of 30 September brings no new content, but it does add one small change with a lot of practical value, plus a set of tweaks that people trying to recover their old crosshair have been asking for.
The most useful part: grenade crosshairs in freeze time
From now on, if you hold the attack button with a grenade in hand during buy time, the game shows you the grenade crosshair. Valve says it plainly: it's meant for instant smokes.
In practice, you can line the grenade up before the round starts and throw it on the very first tick, without losing seconds getting into position. For anyone who plays round-start lineups, it's the change from this patch you'll notice most.
More crosshair options
The rest of the changes push in the same direction, widening customisation:
There's a new style called Static Quadrant, joining the Static Square added in the previous patch. The outline colour can now be changed separately. The Classic Dynamic style accepts negative gaps again, and its alpha adjusts in 0.01 steps. The visualisation of weapon inaccuracy and spread has also been fixed.
One caveat on negative gaps: they've only returned for that one style, with a range of −10 to 128. Every other style keeps its minimum at zero.
Watch out for crosshair codes
The patch changes the crosshair share code format again, which now also stores the scope dot's size and colour. Remember that codes saved before 22 September have not worked since the crosshair overhaul, and the game rejects them with an invalid or old code warning.
There's no official converter, so the advice is simple: rebuild your crosshair in Settings, export a fresh code and save it, so you're not relying on one that could stop working with the next change.
Rush and an express rollback
As for Rush, the patch only fixes several clipping issues on its maps, with no balance changes.
What did draw attention was the launch. Shortly after it went live, many players began crashing on startup, matchmaking was unavailable for a while and Valve rolled the update back to the previous build. It re-released the fixed version within about 70 minutes. The download is roughly 700 MB.
