TYLOO withdraw from HyperX Retake and miss out on the Singapore Major

TYLOO withdraw from HyperX Retake and miss out on the Singapore Major

The same decision that cost NAVI nothing has cost TYLOO the Major. The Chinese side withdrew from HyperX Retake Season 13 in Lisbon because of the clash with IEM Beijing, and the forfeit has left them out of the Singapore Major.

A week of ups and downs

TYLOO entered the final stretch with real chances. At PGL Masters Bucharest they had to play without Jee, ruled out with chickenpox, and with their own coach, zhokiNg, on the server. Even so they beat 9z 2-1, a win that, according to HLTV, lifted their Major chances from 52% to 91%. They did not, however, make it out of the Swiss stage.

In Lisbon, the team lost its opening match to Spain's Iberian Soul, but recovered to reach the quarter-finals.

The withdrawal

That's when the organisers announced that TYLOO and NAVI were withdrawing to play IEM Beijing. TYLOO forfeited their quarter-final against Metizport, and HLTV's simulator dropped their Major chances from 68% to 17%.

The difference with NAVI is the margin. NAVI pulled out with their place all but secured; TYLOO still needed the Lisbon points.

How Asia looks

The invitations published on 2 November confirmed it: TYLOO will not be in Singapore, and Asia's last place has gone to Lynn Vision. The region's five places belong to The MongolZ, who start in Stage 2, and to BC.Game, s1mple's team, which secured a Valve exception to compete through Asia, FlyQuest, Chinggis Warriors and Lynn Vision, who start in Stage 1.
